Working Full or Part time hours Join our team and embark on an exciting career journey as a Consultant Radiologist at The Countess of Chester Hospital. The Radiology Directorate is part of the Diagnostic and Clinical Support Services Division. It provides diagnostic imaging services across two sites: Countess of Chester Hospital and Ellesmere Port Hospital. The department offers a GP direct access service for plain film, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. The Trust is also the South of Mersey Vascular Centre (SMart Centre), serving Chester, Warrington, and Wirral patients. The Countess of Chester Hospital has invested in modern equipment, including a new Interventional Radiology suite and a state-of-the-art cardiac CT scanner. The department features 3 CT scanners (including 1 cardiac scanner), 2 MRI scanners, and a suite of ultrasound scanners. It performs approximately 15,500 MRI scans, 30,000 CT scans, 2,000 interventional procedures, and 31,000 ultrasound scans annually. The successful candidate will join an existing team of Consultants, providing comprehensive diagnostic reporting of CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain films. Sub-specialist skills in Paediatrics, MSK, or Cardiac radiology are encouraged but not essential. This is a full-time position; however, part-time or job share options are available, with flexible job content discussions to meet service needs.
