A fast-growing, multi-site food manufacturer is seeking a driven and ambitious individual to join their infrastructure team at a time of exciting transformation and growth. The Company This organisation is one of Europe’s most dynamic consumer goods groups, home to a collection of well-known heritage brands across the UK, Ireland, and continental Europe. With a portfolio spanning biscuits, snacks, condiments, and confectionery, their footprint includes over 15 UK sites and several international locations. The business is currently undergoing a major IT transformation, unifying multiple local functions into a single, strategic IT structure, and you’ll play a central role in this transition. The Role As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to the company’scloud-first strategy , supporting the migration from traditional on-premise infrastructure toAzure , while also leading robustdisaster recoveryand backup processes. You’ll work across multiple sites and systems, bridging legacy tech with modern cloud platforms. This is a hands-on role with real scope to shape the future of IT infrastructure across the group. Key Responsibilities Lead and supportAzure data centre migrations , ensuring scalability and security Maintain and optimiseon-premise infrastructure(VMware/vSphere, Windows Server, physical data centres) Deliver resilientdisaster recoveryandbackupsolutions (e.g., Veeam, Rubrik) Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams across UK and EU sites Support network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, routing, Cisco) as required Travel to manufacturing and office locations (e.g. North West, East of England, Ireland) on occasion What We’re Looking For Proven experience inAzuremigration and cloud services Strong technical background inVMware ,Windows Server , and traditional infrastructure Knowledge ofbackup and disaster recoverytechnologies Comfortable withnetwork fundamentals,such as routing, switching, and Cisco Hands-on, proactive attitude with strong communication and problem-solving skills Based in theNorth West, preferably ; however, UK-wide applicants will be considered Willing to travel on occasion to other locations across the UK.
