Join us as our new Unit Manager at Adswood Lodgecare home in Stockport. Adswood Lodge is a specialist care service for adults living with complex and high acuity needs. In this role, you’ll work at a senior level, under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Manager, to manage a team of nursing and care colleagues, drive quality and maintain high standards of care on your unit. About Exemplar Health Care Adswood Lodge is part of Exemplar Health Care, a leading provider of nursing care for adults living with complex and high acuity needs. About the role As a Unit Manager with Exemplar Health Care,you’ll be at the forefront of clinical care delivery for the people living on your designated unit. No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include: leadingyour unit’s care and nursing teams to ensure we meet the medical, physical and emotional needs of the people we support providingstrong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement overseeing and managingall your unit’s clinical elements and risks ensuringcare plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed in a timely manner and reflect care interventions appropriately actingas the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review and update of their care profiles supervision and managementof your unit’s ordering, handling,storage, administration, recordinganddisposal ofmedication. You’ll also have: a thorough understanding ofbest practicein nursing care an excellent range ofclinical and communication skillsthat you’re able to demonstrate anenthusiastic approach to encouraging and motivating people the ability to work confidently on your owninitiative a good standard ofdigital skills. As this is a management role, you should also have post-registration and management or supervisory experience and/or training or qualifications. Adswood Lodge is a short drive from junction 1 of the M60 and other major roads including Wellington Road S and Buxton Road. There's limited parking at the front of the building. The main car park is accessed via Lorne Grove. To get to the car park from the home, head west on Adswood Lane West towards Warren Road. Turn right onto Shaw Road and then right onto Lorne Grove. The car park is at the end of the street. Public transport to Adswood LodgeThe home is a short walk from several bus stops. Shaw Road South bus stop (stop ID: MANJATJT), which is accessed by bus 313. Range Road bus stop (stop ID: MANJATJP), which is accessed by bus 374. Bramhall Lane (Stop B) bus stop (stop ID: MANJMATG), which is accessed by buses 192, 199 skyline and 385.
