Surgical Supply Tech, Operating Room - Per Diem Same Day SurgeryAs NeededAs NeededPOSITION SUMMARYThe CSR/Perioperative support technician orients and completes the necessary competencies to perform a variety of essential environmental and material management functions that ensure patient safety, reduce the risk of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs), and create safe, clean, and sterile work environments for the operating room staff, including:Supporting the OR in planning and delivering care to patients during the perioperative period.Working with the OR staff in pulling equipment and supplies for surgical procedures that meet individual patient needs.Ensuring standards for sterilization, disinfection, and packaging are met and documented.Ordering and tracking supplies and equipment as needed for surgical cases.Being knowledgeable about proper cleaning and sterilization of OR instruments and equipment and providing assistance to personnel handling equipment to ensure proper care and minimize damage to instruments and risk of injury to staff.Demonstrating understanding of the function of CSR autoclave and sterilization procedures through actions.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High school graduate or equivalentExperience: Sufficient previous experience in housekeeping and CSR technical functions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
