You will be an essential part of the Operational Assets department, part of a small team on the delivery of strategic and operational Housing Revenue Account asset management services.ResponsibilitiesAs part of your day to day duties and responsibilities, some of the main tasks you will be involved in will be to :Carry out stock condition surveys on assets across the portfolio, in order to produce accurate condition reports to inform decision-making and future strategic planning or capital investment and maintenance programmes. Complete Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments ensuring appropriate records are kept and any remedial repairs are ordered to rectify category A hazards as soon as feasibly possible, to ensure SLHDs compliance with the Housing Act 2005. As part of the surveying process, gather information required by the company for building and fire safety regulations and legislation. Carry out surveys within appropriate timescales ensuring that any repairs required and reported through to the Customer Access Team. As part of surveying role, provide advice and assistance to customers in relation to asset issues, for example, keeping warm or managing damp and condensation. Identify any structural issues across the asset portfolio and make recommendations to the Asset Data and Planning Team for future remedial programmes. Provide a range of information or data, relating to stock condition, clearly and concisely to a range of stakeholders as required. This information could be verbal or written and will involve the use of IT systems. To support the delivery of other surveying activities across the business, if required, to ensure the delivery of services to customers.Based at Shaw Lane but working flexibly, the successful candidate will be a hardworking, self-motivated individual with an ability to deliver against targets, have excellent management and organisational skills and who possesses the ability to remain calm and clear-thinking when under pressure. The successful applicant for the role must have experience of delivering great customer care, confident and professional in problem solving and be IT literate.
