What you’ll be doing As a Process Development Technologist, you will manage manufacturing projects related to process development and line trials. Support the creation of customer and factory specifications, ensuring accurate product labelling. Plan, prepare, and execute process development and line trials to meet customer needs and improve processes. Provide guidance to manufacturing teams to implement new practices for efficiency. Monitor process trends to ensure timely launches, process optimization, and clear communication with customers. Identify and facilitate continuous improvement projects and trials for product and process enhancements. Document all line trials, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality standards, and customer specifications. Assess equipment capabilities to meet standards and drive improvements. Maintain a safe working environment in line with Health, Safety, and Environment policies. Qualifications such as Level 3 Food Hygiene, Level 2 Health and Safety, HACCP, Sensory Training, Microbiological Training (essential). Experience in evaluating shelf-life results and interpreting customer codes of practice. Proficiency with computer programs and analyzing project results. Knowledge of legal labelling legislation and retailer systems (desirable). Understanding of relevant technology and key performance indicators. Skills in GMP, hygiene, legal labelling, and weight legislation. Essential Experience in food manufacturing processes. Ability to participate in taste panels.
