With operations across the US, Europe, and expansion into Asia, we are on a path to realise our vision for the Autonomous Factory.Job SummaryWe're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive complex technical initiatives and deliver high-quality solutions across our manufacturing automation platform. As an experienced individual contributor, you'll work independently on critical features, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior team members while helping maintain our high engineering standards as we continue to scale.Over the next 12 months you will be involved in:Scaling our operations and managing increasing platform complexity, identifying optimal trade-offs between cost-effectiveness, security, and robustness to maximize productivity for complex wafer fabrication facilitiesImplementing AI tools throughout our development and testing workflows to increase productivity, improve quality, and deliver more value to customers faster and more reliablyLeading the development of new products and driving complex feature solutions from conception to marketDesigning and delivering internal automation solutions to support our expanding factory network, while developing innovative manufacturing automation and autonomy solutions that bring greater value to both new and existing wafer manufacturing segmentsKey ResponsibilitiesTechnical Ownership & DevelopmentTake ownership of significant features and technical components across our Python-based platformDesign and implement reliable systems for data processing and optimisation workflowsContribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussionsProvide code reviews and technical guidance to junior team membersEvaluate new technologies and contribute to technical standard-settingPlatform DevelopmentBuild and maintain data processing pipelines that handle semiconductor fab dataDevelop and enhance our REST APIs and microservicesImplement data science workflows in production-grade PythonCreate reusable components that support rapid development cyclesEngineering QualityApply and advocate for software engineering best practices including testing and CI/CDContribute to system reliability, performance optimisation, and maintainability improvementsCollaborate with optimisation engineers to implement mathematical models in codeParticipate in technical design reviewsRequired Experience4+ years of software development experienceExperience building Python-based systems and deploying to productionDemonstrated ability to work independently on complex technical problemsSolid understanding of software architecture and system design principlesExperience with modern development practices including testing and CI/CDExperience working with APIs and data processingFamiliarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure)Nice-to-haveExperience mentoring junior engineersExperience with mathematical optimisation techniques including MILP and LPExperience with RustUnderstanding of distributed systemsWhat we can offer you:Competitive salary based on skills and experienceStock Options so when we make it big - so do you!L&D Opportunities We are determined to continuously develop ourselves, our company and our teams.
