This senior leadership role combines deep technical expertise with strategic analytical insights to drive data-driven decision making and support the firm's trading and risk management objectives, across its derivatives business.What you'll doKey ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyProvide strategic direction for the firm's quantitative analysis function, identifying new analytical opportunities, methodologies, and technological advancementsLead, mentor, and develop a team of quantitative analysts and researchersCollaborate with senior leadership to align quantitative analysis objectives with overall business goalsBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across trading, risk, and technology teamsEstablish and monitor analytical standards and quality metrics for all quantitative research activitiesResearch & DevelopmentDrive the innovation and enhancement of proprietary analytical models, valuation frameworks, and risk assessment toolsOversee the research process from hypothesis generation to model validation and implementationEvaluate and prioritize analytical initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, and strategic fitStay at the forefront of developments in quantitative finance, machine learning, and statistical modellingFoster a culture of intellectual rigor, analytical excellence, and continuous improvementModel Development & ValidationEnsure robust development and validation of quantitative models across all business functionsOversee the implementation of analytical frameworks for portfolio optimization, performance attribution, and risk assessmentGuide the integration of new analytical tools and methodologies into existing workflowsMaintain model governance standards and documentation requirementsRisk Management & AnalysisImplement comprehensive analytical frameworks for risk measurement and monitoringEnsure proper back testing, stress testing, and scenario analysis of all quantitative modelsWork with trading and risk teams to develop appropriate analytical controls and reportingCollaborate with the Risk team to support the analysis of market, credit, and operational risks through quantitative methodsWhat you'll need for this roleEducation & ExperienceAdvanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, research, or related fieldsProven track record of developing and implementing analytical models and frameworksExperience managing teams of highly skilled quantitative professionalsDemonstrated expertise in statistical modelling and data analysis across multiple domainsTechnical SkillsDeep understanding of statistical methods, econometric techniques, and their application to financial analysisProficiency in programming languages commonly used in quantitative analysis (Python, R, SQL, MATLAB, etc.)Strong knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and analytical frameworksExperience with big data technologies, cloud computing, and advanced analytics platformsUnderstanding of financial theory and practice, including portfolio theory, asset pricing, and risk managementLeadership & Personal QualitiesStrategic vision and analytical mindsetExceptional problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesOutstanding communication and presentation skillsAbility to lead and inspire teams of technical professionalsIntellectual curiosity and commitment to analytical excellenceIntegrity and ethical conduct in all aspects of research and analysisNumber of openings1Boost your careerFind thousands of job opportunities by signing up to eFinancialCareers today. #J-18808-Ljbffr
