Substance Misuse Recovery Worker (12 Month FTC)About The RoleUNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE+ MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFEWe have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join the team at HMP Lindholme, a Category C male adult prison based in Doncaster, with operational capacity of around 900. Join the Recovery Team and empower those whom wish to make changes in their behaviour to promote health and well-being through recovery from drugs and alcohol.This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care.This role is being offered on a 12 Month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave.Hours:This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts are 8am - 4pm.Salary:This position is full time , you'll receive an annual salary of up to £32,346 dependent on experienceHow will we support you? • Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course • Competency framework • Regional and national career development opportunities • Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs • Support from the wider teamCandidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checksWhat you'll be doingAs our new Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include: Delivering outstanding care to psychosocial patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback - ensuring that their care is personalised and tailored to the individual Manage a caseload of patients with varying needs, including substance misuse, mental health, trauma etc Providing a programme of psychosocial interventions and comprehensive assessments Provide information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cession, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices Prepare patients for release and transfer Delivering care on a 1-1 basis as well as group sessions Assisting the healthcare team across other pathways as needed About The RoleUNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE+ MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFEWe have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join the team at HMP Lindholme, a Category C male adult prison based in Doncaster, with operational capacity of around 900.
