The service aims to provide timely specialist assessment and treatment of children with complex continence problems, ensuring when required, that the most appropriate products are prescribed to manage their bladder and bowel symptoms. The service provides continence education and training and acts as a resource on matters relating to continence. Main duties of the jobJob title: Paediatric Continence Health Care Assistant Department: Continence Service Base: Val Waterhouse Centre, Grimsby Hours: 20 hours per week, permanent Salary Range 2 £24,100 (pay award pending) pro rata per annum fixed salary point The post holder will: Work part of the Bladder and Bowel Care team delivering level 1 bladder and bowel assessments and carrying out a range of clinical duties with minimal or no supervision delivering an holistic approach. To carry out an assessment for incontinence products without supervision and provide education and support on how to use the recommended products to patients and their carers according to their care plan. To undertake and successfully complete all training within the competencies that are relevant to the care of patients.
