Job Title: Consultant in Cardiothoracic AnaesthesiaBand: 10PAApplicants are invited to apply for a Consultant post in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will join the Perioperative Medicine (POM) Acute Pain team at Barts Heart Centre.In October 2014, NHS England approved the case for change for the delivery of specialist cardiovascular services across north and east London, leading to the creation of the Barts Heart Centre. This centre was formed by integrating services from the London Chest Hospital, UCLH’s The Heart Hospital, and existing services at St Bartholomew’s.The Barts Heart Centre is the largest specialist cardiovascular centre in the country, offering a wide range of expertise in clinical care, research, and education for cardiovascular conditions.We seek enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team of 48 anaesthetists and intensivists providing cardiothoracic and general anaesthesia and critical care. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with higher specialist training in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and excellent TOE skills.Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK and a leading healthcare provider.
