RoleScripture Union Scotland is a national charity with 125 staff and 2,200 volunteers. Our vision is to see every child and young person in Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus. Our current strategy focuses on expanding SU Scotland’s ministry, especially in priority communities and schools, removing barriers, and partnering with local churches. Building on the impact of Ferrywell in Edinburgh and Junction 12 in Glasgow, a key focus is planting more local Christian youth projects in priority communities to share Jesus' love with children, young people, and families. We have supported Merkinch Primary School with weekly activities, and recently, opportunities have arisen at Inverness High School, necessitating the appointment of a full-time project worker. PurposeThis role involves developing and growing existing work in Merkinch, South Kessock, and Inverness High School catchments, reporting to our Ministry at the Margins Lead. Who we are looking forWe seek someone with vibrant Christian faith, understanding of young people's lives in priority communities, and ability to build trusting relationships.
