You will be part of the multi-skilled team supporting both Health visitors and School Nurses. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and increase your knowledge and skill base. Working as part of a team, you will be expected to prioritise your own workload and contribute to delivering quality health care, health promotion, and advice to babies, children, young people, and families in Redbridge. Main duties of the jobYou will work alongside HV and SN to deliver high-quality care and support to families within Redbridge. This includes: Undertaking age-appropriate health reviews in CNN-led clinics Supporting and leading CNN-led healthy child clinics Assisting with the New Entry Medicals and National Child Measurement programme in schools You will need: The ability to recognise safeguarding concerns, work with families to improve health outcomes, and escalate concerns to managers when appropriate Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to work autonomously while remaining part of the team Good planning and prioritisation skills to manage your workload effectively About usStarting with NELFT NELFT values proper induction and onboarding for new starters. All new employees join on the first Monday of each month and undergo a comprehensive induction lasting up to two weeks, which includes mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation. You will also have opportunities to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend engagement and wellbeing sessions. Induction is held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. Probationary Period This position is subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt unless they are currently undergoing probation or are bank staff. High-Cost Area Supplement This role attracts a 15% High-Cost Area Supplement (minimum £4,714, maximum £5,941), pro-rated for part-time staff. Job responsibilitiesThe successful candidate will hold an NNEB, CACHE, or equivalent qualification and possess strong knowledge of child development. Experience working with children and families is essential. You will support your team and work independently, demonstrating a commitment to collaborative working, liaising with other professionals and agencies, and supporting families by signposting resources within the borough. You will advocate for children and families, establishing effective communication with all stakeholders to promote positive health outcomes.
