Traffic & Customs SupervisorDesford - Fully Onsite3-year contract with a high chance of becoming permanent!Competitive PAYE or Umbrella rates discussed upon application07:00-16:00 Monday - Thursday and 07:00-10:30 Friday A leading global business is seeking a Traffic & Customs Supervisor to oversee the daily management of import and export activities. In this role, you'll ensure products and parts move efficiently across international borders while maintaining full compliance with customs regulations.You'll work closely with them to lead a small but agile team and ensure operations run smoothly.If you're a proactive and driven individual with a strong background in customs or logistics- we want to hear from you! What You’ll be doing:Develop and maintain process documentation and manage Customs & clients record-keepingEnsure duty management systems meet HMRC requirements and submissions are correctOversee daily customs and traffic operations across international shipmentsEnsure full compliance with all applicable customs laws and regulationsIdentify and mitigate customs risks while maintaining strong control processesContribute to continuous improvement across transportation and compliance functionsSupport project planning and drive operational efficiencyCollaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to keep processes aligned What We're Looking For3–5 years of experience in transportation, customs compliance, supply chain, or logisticsStrong understanding of customs regulations and risk managementExperience in a supervisory or team lead role preferred, but strong subject matter expertise will also be consideredExcellent organisational and time management skillsConfident communicator, both written and verbalComfortable with Microsoft 365 toolsExperience with customs systems (e.g., Ricardo) or data tools like Power BI is desirableAwareness of Health & Safety regulationsDegree preferred, though significant industry experience will also be consideredApplicants must have an existing right to work in the UK and evidence of eligibility will be required.
