Vertical Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy as they look to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Commercial & Project Advisory team in Warrington.This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-value, technically complex engineering projects across the nuclear and regulated infrastructure sectors. You'll play a key role in supporting long-standing, high-profile clients while enjoying excellent career progression, hybrid working, and structured support toward chartership.What You’ll Be Doing:Lead the commercial management of major infrastructure and engineering projects within the nuclear sectorDeliver full lifecycle quantity surveying services, from early-stage cost planning and procurement through to contract administration and final accountsManage subcontractor packages, assess valuations and variations, and process paymentsProvide expert guidance on NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, ensuring commercial compliance and strategy alignmentWork closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain cost control and maximise valuePrepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and risk assessmentsMentor junior surveyors and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing cultureRepresent the business in client-facing meetings and project reviewsWhat We’re Looking For:A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial disciplineIdeally chartered (MRICS, MCIOB) or actively working toward professional accreditationStrong experience in infrastructure, engineering, or regulated project environments – ideally within nuclear, energy, or utilitiesProven track record managing NEC contracts (NEC3 / NEC4 essential)Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and commercial reporting skillsA proactive, organised, and commercially focused mindsetWhat’s in It for You:Competitive salary with annual reviewsCar allowancePrivate medical insurance + life assuranceEnhanced employer pension contributionHybrid working (typically 2 days from home per week)25 days holiday + bank holidaysStructured APC support with access to trained mentors and chartered professionalsClear career progression within a growing, well-respected teamCollaborative, inclusive working environment with real opportunities to shape your futureIf you're looking to take the next step in your career and work on nationally significant infrastructure projects, this role offers both challenge and reward in equal measure.To apply or find out more, get in touch with Freya at Vertical Recruitment
