We're seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Facilities Manager to lead the oversight and management of our Stockport based site. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant facilities that support high-performance production environments.You’ll be responsible for developing a forward-looking facilities strategy, managing capital projects, leading a skilled team, and driving continuous improvement across infrastructure and operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain rolling facilities plan aligned with business goalsLead capital planning, budgeting, and execution of facility upgradesManage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance complianceOversee daily operations and maintenance of manufacturing facilitiesCollaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtimeEnsure compliance industry safety and security standardsSupervise and develop facilities and maintenance staffMonitor operating costs and identify cost-saving opportunitiesImplement preventive maintenance and emergency response plansLiaise with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholdersConduct inspections and risk assessments to mitigate hazardsDrive facility upgrades and capital improvement projectsPrepare RFQs, conduct contract reviews, and manage riskQualifications & ExperienceRelevant engineering qualificationStrong knowledge of regulatory standards (LOTO, PUWER, etc.)Occupational Health and Safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)Proven track record in delivering capital expenditure programmesExperience with CMMS systems and contractor controlBackground in engineering or maintenance supervisionCertified Facility Manager (CFM)Knowledge of CMMS systemsSkills & AttributesConfident decision-maker with strong leadership skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagementSelf-motivated and proactiveProven ability in team development and people managementDetail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and complianceCustomer-focused with contract and risk management expertise
