Department: OperationsLocation: UK Wide (ideally the individual will be located north of Birmingham)Job Type: Permanent, Full-TimeSalary: £35,000 per annumResponsible to: Operations Director / Ops ManagerHoliday allowance: 25 days annual leave + UK bank holidaysAdditional: Workplace pension and company vehicle About Pulse FibrePulse Fibre is building the next generation of full-fibre infrastructure for the UK, deploying state-of-the-art future-proof connectivity to residential properties. We implement our own end-to-end dedicated fibre optic network giving us full control of design, installation, and maintenance. Our values are ambition, collaboration, honesty and commitment. PositionReporting to the Operations Director and/or Operations Manager, you will be the face of Pulse Fibre on site, and responsible for managing our live sites. This includes:Site visits, country-wide (currently as far North as Durham in England, and also Scotland) managing the civils installations carried out by developers and their chosen contractorOverseeing operations and ensuring that the site team are supported and have the resources they need to ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.Completing regular site briefings and toolbox talksEnsuring that work complies with regulations and health and safety legislation as well as other legal requirementsKeeping the client and Company Directors updated regularly on progress on siteCarrying out safety checks on site and assisting the team in overcoming any issues that arisePre-empting potential issues and getting resolved before we return for fibre installationsReview and managing stock onsite Gathering photographic evidence and site data Attending onsite third-party surveysAssisting onsite with fibre installations/faults (where required)Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislationThe ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:New housing development civils installations – duct and chambers etc.A background in fibre infrastructure and experience installing FTTPDemonstrates flexibility and a proactive approach by taking on additional responsibilities and completing tasks outside of the usual job description as needed to support the team and organisational goalsAbility to communicate well with individuals at all levelsExcellent verbal communicator with good people management skillsAbility to build productive stakeholder relationshipsIdeally holds a valid SMSTS certificateIdeally holds a valid First Aid at Work certificate
