Clinical Lead PsychiatristLocation: RemoteJob Type: Permanent, Full-time or Part-TimeStart Date: ASAPAbout The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Lead Psychiatrist to join RTN Medical. This senior clinical role will be central to delivering and enhancing our ADHD diagnostic and treatment service across the lifespan. You will lead on the psychiatric elements of our ADHD pathway — from reviewing assessment data and confirming diagnoses, to initiating and overseeing medication management. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you will ensure our services remain safe, evidence-based, and person-centred, while also providing expert guidance on complex cases.Key ResponsibilitiesADHD Assessment & DiagnosisConduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for ADHD using standardised tools (e.g. DIVA, ACE).Review pre-assessment data to inform diagnostic decision-making.Confirm diagnoses and deliver clear, sensitive feedback to clients and families.Provide oversight and expert opinion on complex or co-occurring presentations.Medication Management & Treatment OversightInitiate, titrate, and monitor ADHD medication in line with NICE, GMC, and RTN Medical protocols.Conduct follow-up consultations to assess treatment effectiveness and manage side effects.Collaborate with nurse prescribers and other MDT members to ensure safe, effective treatment pathways.Post-Diagnostic Support & Clinical GuidanceContribute to post-diagnostic support plans, including psychoeducation and onward referrals.Act as a point of clinical expertise, supporting colleagues with ADHD-related presentations.Help design and deliver high-quality ADHD pathways.Governance, Quality & ComplianceEnsure all clinical practice meets RTN Medical, NICE, CQC, and GMC standards.Take part in audits, peer reviews, and quality assurance initiatives.Escalate safeguarding concerns and clinical risks appropriately.Collaboration & Professional DevelopmentSupervise and support MDT members, contributing to reflective practice and case discussions.Stay informed on developments in ADHD research and psychiatric best practice.Contribute to service improvement and innovation projects.About YouEssentialFull GMC registration with a licence to practise in the UK.CCT in General Adult Psychiatry.Section 12 approved.Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification clinical experience.Extensive experience in ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and medication management across the lifespan.Proficiency in recognised ADHD diagnostic tools (e.g. DIVA, ACE, Conners).In-depth knowledge of NICE guidelines, GMC standards, and ADHD care pathways.Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team.Experience offering guidance, supervision, or mentorship to other clinicians.Compassionate, person-centred approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and sensitively.Organised, reliable, and committed to continuous professional developmentDesirableExperience across both NHS and private sector services.Experience delivering remote psychiatric care.Experience designing or refining clinical pathways.Additional training in ADHD diagnostic tools.Company BenefitsCompany pension and annual bonusReferral programmeWorking from homeWhy Join RTN?Be at the forefront of transforming ADHD and Autism care.Shape clinical services with a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team.Play a key leadership role in a company committed to clinical excellence and innovation.Enjoy a supportive and collaborative culture with real impact.If you’re an experienced clinical leader ready to take your career to the next level, we’d love to hear from you.Apply now to join RTN Medical and lead the future of neurodevelopmental care.
