With a strong track record of delivering complex, high-value projects across sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, and life sciences, this is an ideal opportunity to take on a senior-level role in a well-respected and continually growing business.As Design Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring building services are designed and coordinated to meet both performance expectations and project timelines. You’ll lead the internal design effort while working closely with external consultants, specialist contractors, and in-house delivery teams.The Role:Working across the full MEP spectrum – including mechanical, electrical, HVAC etc. – you will take responsibility for driving design performance, technical standards, and compliance across live projects.Your responsibilities will include:Leading the coordination of M&E designs Managing design programmes Supporting pre-construction planning Reviewing drawings, models, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and buildabilityEngaging in design meetings, technical reviews, and quality workshopsSupporting procurement, technical submittals, and approvals processesCollaborating with BIM teams and reviewing 3D models for design integrationOccasionally, visiting sites to identify any design challenges.Providing ongoing design support throughout the delivery phase and into handoverManagement of the design budget, as relates to external supportWhat You'll Bring:Minimum 5 years' experience in a mechanical, electrical, or building services design environmentExposure to the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to handoverProficiency with modern design tools such as Revit and Navisworks.Strong understanding of design management principles, compliance, and stakeholder coordinationExcellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesApply NowIf you're an experienced Design Engineer ready to step into a leadership role, or an established Design Manager seeking greater impact, we’d welcome your application.To apply, submit your CV via the link, or contact Bea Holland at Vickerstock for a confidential conversation.
