Summary of the RoleAs a Senior Application Scientist at Lhasa Limited, you will play a crucial role in bridging scientific knowledge with practical application. In this full-time position, you’ll be at the forefront of driving the development of our products (solutions), through understanding and addressing our members’ needs. By fostering strong relationships with our members and internal teams, you’ll support Lhasa in developing cutting-edge software solutions, which solve real-world chemical safety assessment problems. Playing a leading role by working with our scientists and delivery team to develop our solutions. We also offer fantastic personal benefits including (but not limited to); 34 days holiday plus bank holidays, a generous pension scheme, healthcare cashback, PMI, free car parking at our office in Leeds City Centre and much more!Main Responsibilities Build strong, lasting relationships with our members and become a trusted scientific expert in the application of our solutionsDevelop a solid understanding of all Lhasa solutions and how they are applied across various industriesIdentify opportunities to support solution development by gathering data and insights that enable our teams to create real value for members and regulatorsLead the Application Science work within a solution teamContribute to solution strategy and take ownership of external solution releasesPrioritise member feedback and ensure it is reflected in solution developmentCreate training materials that clearly explain how to use our solutionsSupport the promotion of our solutions and their benefitsProvide advanced technical support and lead on complex member queriesCoordinate and lead member consortiums around specific solutionsCommunicate the value of our in-silico solutions through scientific publications, conference presentations, and postersProvide leadership within the organisation by mentoring colleagues, managing when required, and helping to improve how we workAbout YouYou hold a Master’s or PhD in a chemistry or toxicology related disciplineYou bring at least 3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong background in toxicology, metabolism, degradation or organic chemistryUnderstanding of industry workflows and are familiar with global regulations such as ICH Q3A to Q3E, ICH M7 and RDC 53You have extensive experience using in-silico tools in pharmaceutical or related industriesYou are an excellent scientific communicator and comfortable with both presenting your ideas and receiving feedbackYou are proactive, solution focused and confident working independently as well as in a teamYou have strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a sensitivity to working across culturesYou are open to regular international travel, around 40 percent of the timeUndertake additional responsibilities as required to support the team and business objectivesDesirable but not essentialPrevious experience in line managementExperience in writing or submitting regulatory dossiers or risk assessmentsOur Culture At Lhasa Limited, are committed to creating a work environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and trust.
