Job overview Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding opportunity? We're recruiting for apart-time Senior Occupational TherapistatMarlborough House in Milton Keynes, a 28-bedded male medium secure forensic unit. The unit comprises of 2 wards, an acute assessment ward and also a rehabilitation-focused ward. We are an innovative service, developing and strengthening our provision to include a wide spectrum of interventions including sensory assessments, vocational opportunities, and links with the Recovery College.This role can be offered as part time (minimum of 22.5 hours per week) however we do have flexibility to offer up to 37.5 hours per week. You'll provide evidence-based, client-centred interventions, manage a varied caseload, and lead junior staff. You'll also play a key role in a multidisciplinary team, shaping service development while supporting recovery-focused care. This role is eligible for anincentive scheme of £3,500paid at intervals over an 18-month period. All payments are pro-rata, non-pensionable and subject to a clawback clause. Please note that only employees external to Oxford Health NHS are eligible for this scheme.This role includes an RSU allowance of £1,446 per annum on top of your salary. Please note if you are based outside of the UK you will need to hold HCPC registration in order to be considered for this role. Main duties of the jobManage a varied and, at times, complex case load. Provide occupational therapy that is evidence-based and follows client-centred principles. This will include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating the outcome of interventions and documenting all stages of the process. Provide leadership for junior/non-registered staff as appropriate to the post, through supervision and appraisal, delegating responsibilities as appropriate. Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy service within a designated area/team, holding responsibility and taking a leading role for defined projects or specialist interventions. Participate effectively as a full member of the multi-disciplinary team. Contribute to the maintenance and development of the trust-wide Occupational Therapy service and local multi-disciplinary team. Actively participate in the education of occupational therapy students. Pro-actively engaging in teaching/presentations of specialist skills both within the Trust and for continuing professional development events/activities.
