Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Dietitian to join our supportive and friendly adult community dietetic service which covers Whitby, Scarborough, Malton and Pocklington. We are looking for a specialist dietitian with excellent clinical, communication and team working skills. The role entails providing dietetic support and advice for a range of clinical conditions to our adult clients to optimise their health. Remote working and part time hours would be considered. Job responsibilitiesFor further information with regard to this vacancy, please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification Person SpecificationExperienceEvidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at a specialist level of care Evidence of sound post-registration professional practice, with a variety of practical experience and evidence to support autonomous clinical practice in clients with a range of clinical conditions, including some with complex needs Experience of specialist clinical areas such as malnutrition, enteral tube feeding, diabetes and gastrointestinal conditions Qualifications and KnowledgeFull understanding of relevant policy, legislation and guidance relevant to clinical and service area Current registration with HCPC Professional qualification to Degree level or Diploma level BSc (Hons) Dietetics or Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics Skills and CompetenciesEffective inter -personal skills and experience in supervising and mentoring Able to demonstrate effective communication skills and work flexibly within the team/service Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
