We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Early Years educator to lead our well-established department as Head of Early Years.This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team committed to helping each child flourish and fulfil their potential. The Head of Early Years will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of our Early Years and Pre-Reception provision, overseeing four classes for 2–3 year olds and four Pre-Reception classes for 3–4 year olds.The Successful Candidate WillHave strong knowledge of the EYFS FrameworkDemonstrate proven leadership experience in an Early Years settingBe familiar with ISI inspection frameworks and expectationsCommunicate clearly with staff and parentsBe committed to promoting curiosity, kindness and respect in school lifeRequirementsMinimum Level 5 qualification in Early Years Education or an Early Years degreeMinimum of 5 years’ experience in an Early Years setting or 2 years in a leadership or management roleProven experience delivering high-quality Early Years teachingStrong understanding of safeguarding and child developmentConfidence in leading a team and driving improvementExcellent communication and organisational skillsWorking HoursFull-time, Monday to FridayShift pattern: 7:45am–4:30pm and 8:45am–5:30pm (on alternate days)BenefitsPrivate pension scheme5 CSP days and 3 personal days (mental health days) per academic yearWellbeing support (Health Assured)Free staff meals during term timeCycle to Work schemeTerm-time only working pattern from July 2026Closing Date30th September 2025 at noon.Early applications are encouraged and we may interview before the closing date.To arrange a pre-visit or informal discussion, please contact Sian Hoskins on 020 7435 6262.Hampstead Hill School is committed to safeguarding children.
