We''re looking for an experienced Fish Producer/Fishmonger & Retail Assistant to join our team and contribute to our continued growth.---The Role:As a Fish Producer/Fishmonger and Retail Assistant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our shop in Easter Drylaw, preparing fresh fish to a high standard, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.---Key Responsibilities:Preparing and filleting a range of fresh fish and seafood to customer requirementsServing customers with a friendly and professional attitudeHandling cash and operating the till and scalesMaintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards throughout the storeAssisting with deliveries, including lifting and carrying heavy boxes of fishEnsuring all food safety regulations and procedures are followedPeriodic deep cleaning of work areas, equipment, and the storeSupporting colleagues and learning new skills within the tradeEnsuring punctuality to meet delivery and service requirements---Requirements:Previous experience in the fish trade is essentialGood knowledge of fish preparation and food safety practicesExcellent customer service and communication skillsPhysically fit and able to handle heavy liftingReliable, punctual, and able to work well within a small teamWillingness to learn and take on new responsibilities---Desirable:Food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)Knowledge of seasonal fish and seafood varietiesPassion for quality food and customer satisfaction---What We Offer:Competitive payA supportive and friendly team environmentOpportunities to develop further skills in the tradeStaff discounts---To Apply:Please send your CV and a short cover note detailing your experience in the fish trade to johngowans0537@gmail.comJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: 12.21-14.74 per hourWork Location: In person
