Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated NEET Mentor to join our team, working on our NEET contract to support young people aged 1624 from targeted backgrounds across London. This is a dynamic and rewarding role for someone who is committed to empowering young people and guiding them towards meaningful pathways in education, employment, and training.You will provide one-to-one mentoring, conduct outreach, and manage a caseload of learners, helping to unlock their potential and overcome barriers. The role requires a proactive, organised individual with a strong understanding of youth engagement and a genuine desire to make a difference Duties Provide weekly mentoring support to young people aged 1624 from a range of backgrounds. Source and manage referrals from internal and external partners Conduct high-quality Initial Advice and Guidance (IAG) sessions. Maintain excellent compliance standards and up-to-date learner documentation. Manage a caseload of up to 150 learners over the academic year. Identify and secure suitable employment, education, training, and work experience (WEX) opportunities for learners. Effectively signpost learners to external support services when needed (e.g. mental health, housing, financial support). Build strong relationships with learners, referral partners, employers, training providers, and other stakeholders Ensure that all KPIs and performance targets are consistently met or exceeded. Carry out outreach and engagement activities across North East London. Maintain regular attendance at the Hackney head office and other required locations. Qualifications Empathetic and personable with a genuine passion for supporting young people. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to multi-task effectively. Strong written and spoken communication skills, including fluent written English Comfortable working in fast-paced and sometimes challenging environments. Ability to build rapport quickly with learners and stakeholders alike. Strong account management and caseload handling skills. Confident working independently and as part of a team. Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding KPIs.
