Woodpecker Joinery is a well-established company specializing in the design, production, and installation of timber greenhouses and garden buildings for both residential and commercial clients. Renowned for our craftsmanship and personalized service, we are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a multifaceted role that blends design, sales, and production oversight. Key Responsibilities Oversee the design team''s schedule to ensure it aligns with the workshop and enables the successful delivery of our manufacturing program. Develop and maintain a structured scheme of work, implementing workflow improvements for the design team to foster productivity and innovation. Conduct daily quality assurance inspections in the workshop to uphold product standards and ensure suitability of made to measure components. Build and maintain strong client relationships, guiding them through design choices and prepare final specifications. Create comprehensive client files for use by our greenhouse designers, including translating hand sketches into simple CAD drawings suitable for client sign off. Use software tools to generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and documentation for in-house manufacturing. Skills & Experience Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret client feedback into refined designs. Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support. Experience in preparing manufacturing documentation for workshop use. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work alongside senior designers to align client needs with business goals. Ideally a basic understanding of timber frame design and construction principles but not essential. Comfortable working under pressure and meeting regular targets. Good communication with ambition to develop customer service skills. Experience in design, sales, or manufacturing is preferred.
