Thats why were excited to be trialling a 4-Day Working Week, meaning you could be working one day less per week (or equivalent), without taking a pay cut.If successful, well roll this out across the Group so nows the perfect time to join #TeamOFG.Job Title: Secondary Maths TeacherLocation: Oakham Shires School, Rutland, LE15 6JBSalary: Up to 39,000 per annum (depending on experience not pro rata)Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am 4:30pmContract: Permanent, Term Time OnlyEligibility: This role does not offer sponsorshipPlease Note:Applications received after July 15th will be reviewed after the summer break (end of August).Interviews will be held on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th September.About the RoleAs part of our continued growth, were looking for a passionate and skilled Secondary Maths Teacher to join our close-knit team at Oakham Shires School, part of Options Autism.You'll be responsible for delivering GCSE Maths, supporting students across the school, and leading the subject as a Maths Subject Lead.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of autistic pupils who have struggled in mainstream education and need a tailored, compassionate approach.What Youll Be DoingTeaching Maths up to GCSE level in small class groups (max. 6 pupils)Supporting learners with autism and developmental trauma, helping close gaps in learningLeading on the Maths curriculum and supporting cross-school developmentAdapting lessons to meet a wide range of abilities and individual needsCreating a calm, supportive, and engaging classroom environmentWorking with a team of passionate educators and therapists to help every child thriveWhat Were Looking ForQTS / BEd / PGCE or equivalentProven experience of teaching Maths at GCSE levelExperience supporting SEN and/or disadvantaged learnersA compassionate, calm, and emotionally intelligent approachUnderstanding of autism, trauma-informed practices, and behaviour as communicationStrong communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary teamThis role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).About UsOakham Shires School is anIndependent SEN School, part of the Options Autism group.Students are supported to achieve their Outcomes within their Education Health Care Plan, develop life skills, and achieve accreditations in Maths, English and ScienceFor over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to students, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
