A rare opportunity has arisen within the Dalton & Ulverston District nursing team for an advanced Clinical Support Worker. The role requires flexibility over days, weekends, evenings and nights.As a CSW in the community team you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication with patients, relatives and professionals as well experience or willingness to train in a range of extended clinical skills including but not limited to basic observations, venepuncture, skin care, palliative care and sub-cutaneous injections. You will be working seeing patients on your own in their homes as part of a close and supportive team that pride themselves on a high standard of patient care.To provide basic nursing care to patients in the community setting working as part of the district nursing team. Carrying out an extended role of clinical tasks and skills Working unaccompanied.To assist the Clinical Team with Data entry and administrative duties.We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery.
