Join to apply for thePearson Test Inspector Londonrole atPearson 3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Join to apply for thePearson Test Inspector Londonrole atPearson We are currently recruiting for Test Inspectors in London.Purpose of this roleTo undertake unannounced inspection visits at test centres to ensure exams are being delivered with integrity and in accordance with Pearson and regulatory requirements.Key AccountabilitiesThe Pearson Test Inspector will:Attend and complete annual training aligned to regulations Manage personal travel arrangements in line with Pearson travel and expenses policies - these may be local or International Conduct unannounced face to face inspection visits at centres allocated to you by the Pearson Test Inspection team. Key areas you will be asked to review include: Security of exam materials Centre staff knowledge Test room set up pre and post examination During exam conduct Produce a qualitative report for each test inspection visit (you will be provided the template), identifying any necessary requirements clearly and concisely, SMART action planning and to make recommendations, in accordance with guidance and training Always follow protocols set out in the report forms which are derived from guidance and regulatory documentation (and discussed in training). Provide regular updates on availability during exam periods via the process shown during training Ensure accurate completion of ‘conflicts of interest’ documentationPERSON SPECIFICATIONEssentialPrevious Work ExperienceKnowledge or experience of quality operations in an education/training setting within the last 2 years. Knowledge or previous experience of the examination process either within a centre as an Exams Officer, Deputy Head, Head or equivalent relevant experience within an Awarding Body and be familiar with examinations administration.DesirableExperience of working as an exam invigilator Experience of working as an exam officerEssentialSkills & KnowledgeKnowledge or experience of quality issues arising from quality operations Expertise in the analysis of quality operations and/or processes Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to make judgements on quality of processes vs regulation Ability to understand the implications of decisions taken on Pearsons behalf Able to make decisions under pressure Ability to develop clear action plans Ability to work towards and meet deadlines Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to work on behalf of Pearson and not to operate outside the sphere of responsibility defined within this job description Good IT skills Be organised and able to keep complete and accurate recordsDesirableKnowledge of JCQ requirements Knowledge of Pearson external assessment Working knowledge of Regulatory/Standard Setting Body restrictionsRequirementsAny Associate undertaking this role must:Have personal IT equipment capable of running Pearson required software Download and be able to use Adobe Reader Have a stable and secure internet connection Have a personal and password secured email account Declare any conflicts of interest that could impact on the role Understand the implications of decisions taken on behalf of Pearson Ability to visit organisations/centres during a working week (including term times) sometimes at short notice during January, May, June, October and November. Be willing to travel to overseas centres Ability to make travel arrangements, including visa requests.
