The Rame Group Practice is a practice that is thriving in what for othershave been difficult times. We thinkoutside the box. We have been running academic and commercial research for manyyears and have a strong international reputation for our work. We also run the dermatology service forSoutheast Cornwall. Our GPs haveopportunities you will not find elsewhere.We are looking to recruit a permanent Salaried GP to join our friendly and forward thinking team working 6 sessions a week.Main duties of the jobTo work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision ofmedical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standardof clinical care:Covering regular 10 or 15 minutes pre booked GP AppointmentsKeep accurate and up-to-date records of patient consultations using appropriate AI and clinical softwareDeveloping care plans for health in consultatoin wit patients and in line with current practice disease management protocolsCarry out home visitsEngage in clinical meetingsSupport the education and supervision of medical studentsEngage in monthly clinical meetingsAssist in clinical auditsAbout usThe Rame Group Practice is an innovative, forward thinking, friendly,welcoming and supportive practice, based in a modern, purpose-built healthcentre in Torpoint with a branch surgery on the RamePeninsula.Our organisation is led by a team of 7 dedicated GP Partners,a Business Partner and supported by a multidisciplinaryteam that includes Salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse and Emergency CarePractitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and a General PracticeAssistant. We are also supported by a pharmacy team comprisingClinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians and Physioteam all serving 12,000 patients.The clinical team is underpinned by a highlyskilled and efficient administrative team that ensures the seamless operationof the practice. Together, our multidisciplinary team is committed to providingoutstanding care and continually improving health outcomes for the communitieswe serve.We have a thriving and growing dermatology service as wellas a busy award-winning clinical trials team which is also expanding.We are a training practice and have GP registrars working with us, as well as anumber of medical students on a rotational basis.Rame has a proven track record of high QOF achievement and was rated GOOD across all domains by CQC at the last inspection.Our practice culture values team members wellbeing and weseek to promote work life balance in these challenging times for generalpractice.Job responsibilitiesThe following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There maybe on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependentupon factors such as workload and staffing levels:The delivery of highly effective medical care to theentitled populationThe provision of services commensurate with the GMScontractGeneric prescribing adhering to local and nationalguidanceEffective management of long-term conditionsProcessing of administration in a timely manner,including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associatedadministrative tasksMaintain accurate clinical records in conjunctionwith good practice, policy and guidanceWorking collaboratively, accepting an equal share ofthe practice workloadAdhere to best practice recommended through clinicalguidelines and the audit processContribute to the successful implementation ofcontinuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practiceParticipate in on-call rotations as requiredAccept delegated responsibility for a specific area(or areas) or the QOFAttend and contribute effectively to practicemeetings as requiredContribute effective to the development andmaintenance of the practice including: clinical governance, training, financialmanagement and HREnsure compliance with the appraisal processPrepare and complete the revalidation processCommit to self-learning and instil an ethos ofcontinuing professional development across the practice teamSupport the training of medical students from allclinical disciplinesSupport the partners in achieving the strategic aimsof the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduceexpenditureReview and adhere to practice protocols and policiesat all timesEncourage collaborative working, liaising with allstaff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all timesIn addition to the primary responsibilities, the salaried GP may berequested to:Participate in practice audits as requested by theaudit leadParticipate in local initiatives to enhance servicedelivery and patient careParticipate in the review of significant andnear-miss events applying a structured approach i.e. root cause analysis (RCA)Person SpecificationExperienceExperience of working in a primary care environmentExperience of continued professional developmentExperience of QOF and clinical auditExperience of medicines managementGeneral understanding of the GMS contractKnowledge and SkillsExcellent communication skills (written and oral)Clear, polite telephone mannerCompetent in the use of Microsoft Office package softwareEffective time management (Planning & Organising)Ability to work as a team member and autonomouslyExcellent interpersonal skillsProblem solving & analytical skillsAbility to follow clinical policy and procedureExperience with auditExperience with clinical risk managementCompetent in the use of EMIS clinical softwareFlexibilityThe post holder will be required to work across practices surgeries in Torpoint and on the Rame Peninsula and may be required to undertake home visits, so must be mobile and have 'Business use@ motor insurance.QualificationsFully qualified GP with GMC registrationInclusion on the NHS England performers listAnnual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)Evidence of continual professional development activitiesDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.£11,945.50 a sessionPay increase pending #J-18808-Ljbffr
