Job Overview If your skills, experience, and qualifications match those in this job overview, do not delay your application.We are a 1500 sow outdoor breeding unit working a three-week batch system producing 8kg weaners for a major UK company, and we are looking for a person withpig experience to join our existing team of 5 and ideally become or if needed with further training become the assistant manager.The team is comprised of both male and female staff and working together the aim is to complement each other to maintain the consistently high standard of welfare andperformance being achieved. The position also requires the applicant to have a full UKdriving licence and also be capable of driving tractors and preferably teleporter, buttraining will be given to pass any qualification required.The successful candidate MUST have at least 2 years pig experience but does not need to have experience as an assistant manager.Pay will be dependant on experience.Candidates need to demonstrate: Full UK driving licence. Consistently high welfare standards and experience working with andmanaging livestock is essential. A passion for livestock and working to the highest standard to keep the unittidy and looking good. Good time keeping and willing to step in as required during busyperiods and holidays. We do have harvest work available as well ifinterested. Friendly personality and to be able to take responsibility and work as part ofthe team with existing staff. Ability to manage people in a way to bring out the best in them with regulardiscussions on ways to improve things. Motivation with the desire for continuous improvement Experience in working within a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new skills. Responsibilities Assist in the daily running of the pig unit, ensuring high animal care and welfare.
