We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated cleaner to join our team for the cleaning of welfare cabins used by construction workers involved in the expansion project at Channings Wood Prison.Read on to fully understand what this job requires in terms of skills and experience If you are a good match, make an application.Please note that the cabins are located within the prison premises, but not the prison itself. EL1 security will be required as well as a DBS.Role Details:- Work Schedule: Every Weekday- Location: Channings Wood Prison construction site (external welfare cabins)- Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for extension)- Contract Duration: Until February 2027- Proposed Start Date: 11th August 2025- Start Time: 8:00am- End Time: 1:30pmThe welfare cabins to be cleaned include office spaces, meeting rooms, canteens, toilets, and drying rooms.Interviews will be conducted as soon as possible via video call through Indeed.Key Responsibilities:- Carry out routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming- Clean and sanitise toilets, break rooms, and other shared facilities- Empty bins and replace liners as needed- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all common and high-traffic areas- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and cleaning proceduresKey Requirements:- Excellent attention to detail- Effective time management skills- Ability to work independently and manage workloads efficiently- Strong communication skills for coordination with team members and supervisors- Physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks and remain on your feet for extended periodsIf you are motivated, dependable, and take pride in maintaining clean environments, we would love to hear from you.Job Type: Part-timePay: From 12.50 per hourBenefits: Company pension On-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate: Newton Abbot TQ12: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Application question(s): Are you confident that you will pass a security and DBS check?Experience: cleaning: 1 year (preferred)Language: English (preferred)Work Location: In personApplication deadline: 10/08/2025Reference ID: Channings Wood - Main WelfareExpected start date: 11/08/2025
