Your duties and responsibilities include: Cleaning and Housekeeping:Carry out regular cleaning duties in all areas of the nursing home, including corridors, lounges, bedrooms, bathrooms, and toilets. Pay particular attention to detail when cleaning residents' rooms, respecting their privacy and dignity. Ensure that all areas are clean, tidy, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.Stock Replenishment:Check and replenish supplies such as aprons, gloves, hand towels, liquid soaps, and hand sanitizers twice daily - in the morning and before the end of your shift. Keep track of housekeeping stocks for day-to-day use and promptly report any supply issues to the Nurse in Charge, Manager, or Proprietor.Equipment Maintenance:Clean and maintain cleaning equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate authorities.Health and Safety Compliance:Adhere to all health and safety regulations and follow the guidelines set by COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health). Attend training sessions on infection prevention and control to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for residents, staff, and visitors.Property and Policy Compliance:Safeguard residents' belongings and ensure their safekeeping. Familiarize yourself with St. Anne's Nursing Home's policies and procedures and comply with them diligently. Report any deficiencies in equipment, furnishings, or hygiene to the relevant personnel.Fire Safety: Acquire a thorough understanding of the nursing home's fire safety rules and procedures. Attend in-house fire lectures to stay informed and prepared.Incident Reporting: Promptly report all accidents or incidents to the Nurse in Charge, Manager, or Proprietor. Communicate any complaints or concerns from residents, their families, or staff members to the appropriate authorities.Training and Development: Attend training courses and programs as required to enhance your knowledge and skills. Stay updated with best practices in domestic duties relevant to your role.Confidentiality and Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality regarding residents' personal information. Conduct yourself in a professional manner, treating visitors, staff, and residents with respect and courtesy at all times.Additional Duties: Assist with any other duties necessary to ensure the smooth operation of St. Anne's Nursing Home, as assigned by trained nurses, the manager, or proprietor.
