We are looking for an enthusiastic operative to join us to help the safe and efficient production of all products throughout our recycling plant. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality and safety and will be used to working a 2 shift pattern including earlies and lates on a 1 week rotation.In order to make an application, simply read through the following job description and make sure to attach relevant documents. Key areas of responsibility Manufacture of product in line with production targets Work to a shift pattern including early and late shifts on a 1-week rotation. (Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00hrs and Monday - Friday, 14:00 - 22:00hrs) Operation of machinery and occasionally plant equipment in accordance with company procedures and safe methods of work across a varied recycling and manufacturing operation Communicate with Team Leaders and Management to ensure progress is relayed and any issues are dealt with quickly Ensure the Health and Safety of yourself and others around you, reporting any events to Shift Supervisor/Management High standard of housekeeping Identification of any product, machinery or plant related quality defects Manual Handling of bagged material Additional duties Operators are required to use a range of plant equipment to include: FLT Mechanical grab Loading shovelAssist the Maintenance team with any activities required as requested by the Shift Team LeaderFlexibility in carrying out other tasks as designated by the Shift Team Leader/Management Key skills Excellent time management and organisational skills Team player, able and willing to help others as required Willing and able to work in an open air environmentJob Type: Full-timePay: Up to 13.73 per hourBenefits: Company events Company pension Employee discount On-site parking Sick pay Store discountSchedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday OvertimeAbility to commute/relocate: Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience: FLT: 3 years (preferred) Loading Shovel: 3 years (preferred) Production: 3 years (preferred)Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (UK) (required)Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In personReference ID: Double Days Production (Rotating 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm)
