We are looking for an additional, UK customer based, Field Service Technicians to represent IPG. You will join a small and growing EU & UK team.To start with this role is a 6 month contract and we expect that this will soon transition to a permanent role.As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintenance and repairs on all IPG/Better Packages products within the assigned location and to assure continuity of customer operations. You will have ownership of all customer problems and/or incidents until the situation has been resolved to the customers satisfaction and/or in compliance with agreed upon Service Agreements. Responsibilities This position is required to be knowledgeable with IPG products, features, functionalities, capabilities, and distribution channels and be capable of effectively communicating the IPG value to our customers Perform on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, service tasks and conduct product demonstrations when required. Provide maintenance support and training to in-house maintenance staff Establish a regular Preventive Maintenance program for existing end user accounts Assist in testing and evaluating new products and custom packaging equipment. Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences Follow established communication procedures issue RMAs, prepare and submit work orders, expense reports, trip reports, etc. Software upgrades to WAT units when required Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 5 GSCEs (including Maths & English A-C) or equivalent NVQ in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (Desirable) Broad knowledge and experience of electronic and electromechanical principals Excellent IT skills including Microsoft suite Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to understand technical diagrams and manuals Ability to work independently with little supervision Proven track record of keeping good recordsAbility to travel between Castle Donnington and Sutton Coldfield from home with ease.If this sounds of interest to you we cant wait to hear from you.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to permContract length: 6 monthsPay: 28,325.00 per yearBenefits: Bereavement leave Childcare Company events Company pension Employee discount Enhanced paternity leave Gym membership Health & wellbeing programme Life insurance On-site parking Sick payWork Location: In personReference ID: Field Service Technician 1Expected start date: 18/08/2025
