We’re looking for a devoted and inspiring Children’s Residential SEN Deputy Manager to join our team in a place where care comes from the heart, and every day offers a chance to make a lasting difference.The setting is an Ofsted-rated “Good” 5-bedroom home located near Dewsbury, offering support to 4 children with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The home provides a safe and welcoming environment where children aged 8-18 can be supported to grow and flourish under the guidance of a dedicated team of support workers and highly skilled managers, and boasts a very large garden, which allows the children the opportunity to play and explore in a safe outdoor environment. Some children in the home may be non-verbal and require alternative methods of communication, such as Makaton. We welcome individuals who employ creative approaches to communication and take the time to get to know the children as individuals, thereby building a strong rapport with them.As a Children’s Residential SEN Deputy Manager, you will employ a therapeutic, child-centered approach to support the children in meeting their emotional, social, and educational needs, while helping to manage any associated behaviours. You will also be responsible for guiding your team of staff and supporting them to ensure the home runs smoothly. Prior experience in a Leadership or Managerial role is essential, as you will be required to support the home’s Registered Manager with Ofsted inspections, Reg 44 visits, and keep well-maintained and thorough records.
