Monday - Friday 7.30- 4.30Winter hours. Monday - Thursday 7.30- 3.30.Enjoy a 4 day week during the winter season.Pay is pro rata, hours per week approx 40.75We also allow an extra days holiday for staff birthdays.*DUTIES** An operative helping maintain all open spaces to include: Grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, gritting, leaf clearance, litter picking and clearance as required. We also carry out occasional soft landscaping, so you will require the ability to turf and plant.* To undertake all duties within the Grounds Team in accordance with our work schedule and ensure all areas are left clean and tidy after work is completed* To work in a tidy and safe manner at all times, complying with all relevant Health & Safety and Environmental practices and procedures. Safe manner at all times, complying with all relevant Health & Safety* To operate all vehicles, machinery and equipment in a safe manner.* To keep up to date records as required.* Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and on time.*IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS** A certificate in handling and dealing with chemicals PA1/PA6* Experience in ride on machinery and towing* Experience of using general horticultural machinery* Experience in the maintenance of commercial areas etc* Good plant knowledge, Strong team work skills.* Full driving licence and with own transport to our work yard in Patching, Worthing.REFERENCES WILL BE REQUIRED.Job Type: Full-timePay: £25,890.00 per yearBenefits:* Company pension* Free parking* On-site parkingWork Location: In person
