Opus people solutions on behalf of Telford and Wrekin Council have an exciting opportunity for a Independent Reviewing Officer to join their teamJob Title: Independent Reviewing OfficerLength of assignment: 3 MonthsHours per week: 37Hourly rate: £38Location: Darby HouseRemote/Office based: HybridResponsibilities:To review plans for children and young people who are in need of protection, in the care of the Council or who are Care Leavers.To provide effective independent oversight of children’s care.To monitor the performance by the Local Authority of their functions in relation to children’s cases and where necessary to challenge poor practice.This post is a designated Child Protection Conference Chair & Independent Reviewing Officer responsible for delivering an element of the service.To support the Council’s visions and priorities both internally and externallyTo assist the Team Manager in planning team and service objectives To identify and highlight resource issues to the Team ManagerTo assist the Team Manager in ensuring that the team and service meets their objectives and targets within agreed timeframes To deliver standards which achieve equality of opportunityIf you thrive to make a difference and have 3 years Social worker experience and this is the role for you, then we would love to hear from you.
