Our client is looking for an experienced Customer Service Controller, somebody with a technical product led background, exceptional communication skills, to work closely with a developing team in shaping their customer support function and eventually youll grow into recruiting and managing a small team. The Role In brief, you will be responsible for prioritising and processing customer orders in a timely and efficient manner. Orders can be received by telephone, email and from sales representatives, and you will liaise with the customer throughout, to provide them with updates on stock availability, delivery dates and their order status in general. The successful Customer Service Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Prioritising and processing customer orders Dealing with customer enquiries Proactively follow up customer orders, including delays or changes in deliveries, overs/unders & box quantities, whilst ensuring the customer is always updated. Communicate with external sales teams regarding orders and queries. Work with Operations to identify shipping information and update dates accordingly to ensure KPI data is accurate. Investigate and resolve customer complaints quickly and patiently. Proactively introduce and develop processes to aid customer service function. Maintain thorough and accurate customer service records. Liaise with company suppliers to arrange collections and deliveries where needed. Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication. Communicate with the warehouse department to ensure orders are dispatched on time. The Candidate Our client is looking for someone with exceptional customer service skills, who is customer orientated and able to look after their customers whilst following company procedures. Initially a stand alone role, youll have supervisory exposure already within your career. You will need to have attention to detail , honesty & integrity with a commercial mind and partnership approach. Able to demonstrate a history of working with a product led environment, ideally specialist technical products, especially desirable is medical / pharma experience. You will need to be able to find solutions and deal proactively with work related problems. Ideally, you will have intermediate excel skills using pivot tables & lookups, and experience using an ERP system would be advantageous.
