We are on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who are ready to take their first step into the world of insurance and help drive new business growth for our company.As part of the Professional Indemnity team in Financial Lines, you'll have the chance to support your colleagues in delivering the quality service our clients expect from us at Howden. From handling new business applications to managing renewals and mid-term changes, you'll ensure that each customer's needs are met with the perfect coverage and pricing. Join us as we continue our mission as a force for good in insurance.This role is primarily remote, with the expectation of attending our London office once per month.What you’ll doWorks with senior members of the team to ensure Team objectives are achievedParticipates in team meetings as requiredWork alongside team members on assigned projects Draft client quotation documentsPrepare market submissionsAssist in responses to market and third-party queries as appropriateDraft slip and wordingsTakes responsibility for data entry, process debit notes and chase funds from clientsWorks within agreed parameters and uses relevant systems to ensure documentation/communications adhere to company procedure/compliance requirements and provide an adequate audit trailProcesses data promptly and accurately on relevant systems to support and improve high levels of client service/internal process execution and to facilitate informed analysisMaintains appropriate client files, and oversees the prompt and accurate production of documentation to meet client, company and regulatory requirements bestEnsures appropriate due diligence/sanctions checks are conducted in line with company proceduresAdheres to company policies and procedures and obtains all authorisationActively undertakes personal development to ensure up to date knowledge and understanding of best practice Undertaken all compulsory regulatory training modulesWho we’re looking forA determination and willingness to learn about insurance process and the London marketAbility to work well as part of an open and collaborative teamOrganised with attention to detailThis is an entry level role so Insurance knowledge is not required and training will be provided however it would be helpful if they have some knowledge of what the role entailsConfidence to work with others and provide a supporting role to the team.Advanced Excel and computer literate skills in basic software (i.e Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Word etc.)What do we offer in return?A career that you define.
