Job Title: Science Lecturer Location: Skelmersdale Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Temporary, ongoing Working Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (full days) Reason for Vacancy: Failed to recruit permanent candidate Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching in Forensic Science and T Level Health courses. This role focuses on core Biology and Chemistry (non-A Level) at Level 3, offering students practical and theoretical knowledge aligned with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Forensic Science, incorporating core Biology and Chemistry content. Teach Level 3 Biology for T Level Health students, ensuring curriculum standards and learner progression. Develop lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments tailored to course requirements. Support students learning, progress, and achievement, providing feedback and guidance. Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of course delivery. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions. Delivery Areas: Forensic Science (core Biology & Chemistry, non-A Level) T Level Health (primarily Level 3 Biology, non-A Level) Person Specification: Relevant qualifications in Biology, Chemistry, Forensic Science, or related scientific fields. Experience teaching post-16 learners in vocational or technical science subjects. Ability to deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
