Project Manager (Junior–Mid Level)Location: Remote (with occasional travel for in-person Academy programs)Reporting to: Director of Operations/COOEmployment Type: Full-time Contractor or Employee (depending on location, this is a permanent role rather than fixed term)Start Date: September 2025About the Polkadot Blockchain AcademyThe Polkadot Blockchain Academy is the premier educational initiative in the Polkadot ecosystem. We deliver in-person, immersive programs that equip the next generation of blockchain engineers, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem leaders with deep fundamental and technical expertise and a strong network. Our programs are held in hand picked locations around the world and bring together top-tier faculty, emerging talent, and hands-on learning.The OpportunityWe’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Project Manager to support the planning and execution of our Academy programs and internal initiatives. You’ll work at the heart of a fast-moving, high-trust team, helping turn ideas into action, keeping us on track, and making sure the right people have what they need to succeed.This is a role for someone who loves structured chaos: you’ll be juggling timelines, vendors, content schedules, and student comms — and helping keep the Academy running smoothly behind the scenes.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Delivery SupportAssist in planning and coordinating end-to-end delivery of Academy cohorts (logistics, scheduling, documentation, vendor coordination, student experience).Maintain project plans, track milestones, and surface risks or blockers early.Support the production of program materials, onboarding guides, and reporting templates.Ensure that cross-functional teams (tech, faculty, operations, marketing) stay aligned.Project Coordination & ExecutionManage small to mid-sized internal projects across the Academy (e.g. curriculum updates, tooling improvements, community initiatives).Coordinate timelines, assign tasks, and follow up on action items.Keep documentation clean and up to date (Notion, Google Drive, etc).Prepare status updates, checklists, and meeting agendas as needed.Team Operations & SupportHelp maintain internal workflows and processes (e.g. retrospectives, budget tracking, stakeholder reporting).Liaise with external partners, vendors, and contributors where required.Support data collection, reporting, and post-program evaluations.What We’re Looking ForMust-Have2–4 years of experience in project coordination or project management (in tech, education, events, or similar).Strong organizational skills. You love a clear checklist, a good Gantt chart, and a tidy Notion board.Ability to manage both projects, and people, in order to deliver exceptional results. Able to work across multiple time zones and manage both synchronous and asynchronous communication.Comfortable using tools like Google Workspace, Notion, Asana, and Slack.Clear communicator, strong follow-through, and a natural sense of ownership.Nice-to-HaveExperience in Web3/blockchain or a strong personal interest in the space.Prior experience working on events, educational programs, or high-touch stakeholder environments.Familiarity with the Polkadot ecosystem (a bonus, but not required).Background in operations, startup culture, or distributed teams.Working With UsCulture: High trust, high autonomy, and high expectations.
