Reporting to a Lead Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering and shaping business continuity, crisis management, and risk management services for our clients. Our projects span local, national, and international clients across a wide variety of industries, so no two days are ever the same.About youWe are looking for an experienced person to complement our expanding consultancy team. Your skills, potential, and passion are just as important as your formal experience.Resilience Consultant role responsibilitiesDevelop and maintain client documentation, including Policies, Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), Crisis Simulation Exercise (CSE) reports, Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), and Risk RegistersSupport and deliver client projects, taking responsibility for clients and workstreams such as report writing, documentation reviews, and project management (tracking hours, deliverables, and reporting to clients)Engage with clients through calls, emails, meetings, presentations, and training sessions, representing Horizonscan professionally at events, webinars, networking opportunities, and on social mediaResearch and develop exercise scenarios and contribute to innovation projects that improve services and processesSupport junior team members, including Graduate Consultants, while reporting to and assisting Lead/Senior ConsultantsOrganise client visits, including travel, accommodation, and itineraries, ensuring seamless deliveryCommit to continual professional development, maintaining professional memberships and building client and sector-specific knowledgeMaintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of client confidentialityEssential role requirementsMust have the legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom without restrictions.Due to client travel and contractual requirements, applicants must hold a UK or EU passport.The flexibility and ability to spend up to 40% of your time travelling nationally and internationallyProficiency in Microsoft 365Desirable role requirementsProficiency in a second language to support our international workProfessional certification from Business Continuity Institute (BCI), Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI), Institute of Risk Management (IRM), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) or a relevant professional bodyDegree in Risk, Sustainability, Psychology, Communications, Environmental Studies, Insurance, Education, Business Management, or EconomicsExperience with ISO management systems and/or internal auditPractical experience from the private sector, risk/resilience role, emergency services, local authority, insurance industry or militaryValid UK or EU driving licence and confidence driving abroadLive locally in KentPlease noteThis is a full-time role based at our head office in Broadstairs, Kent. Typical office hours are 0900 to 1700, Monday to Friday. You must be able to travel to and work from this location in line with our hybrid working policy.For your probationary period, you will be primarily office-based. On completion of your probation, our hybrid working policy requires a minimum of two days a week in the officeSalaryThe starting salary for a Resilience Consultant ranges from £37,000 to £42,000 depending on your skills and experience, with opportunities for pay progression and promotion.
