Working closely with the Product Management team and key business stakeholders, this role leads the delivery of technology using both internal and third-party development teams. The successful candidate will initially be aligned to our Digital Technology‘Run' product line , with occasional movement to support business priorities. The Run product team collaborates with The FA Grassroots Division to create digital products supporting football administration, enabling direct engagement with participants and enhancing digital experiences for all. This is a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract based at Wembley Stadium. What will you be doing?DELIVERYServant leader for a software development team including developers, QA Engineers, a Product Owner, and a Product Manager. Facilitating effective product planning, backlog management, and creating clear delivery plans in collaboration with Product Managers and Owners. Ensuring effective delivery management and communication. Supporting agile team activities, ensuring ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives are effective. Driving team efficacy, improving velocity and quality, and producing metrics to identify improvement areas. Nurturing a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Managing cross-team dependencies. Tracking development activities and progress in Jira. GOVERNANCEEnsuring delivery follows the FA Delivery Framework, including reporting and documentation. Meeting delivery reporting requirements such as RAG status, delivery plans, roadmaps, and RAID logs. Managing senior stakeholder steering groups for delivery review. Following FA IT change control processes and communicating releases effectively. Managing risks and escalating issues appropriately. OTHERSupporting the development and improvement of IT policies, especially agile best practices. Contributing to wider Digital Technology communities of practice.
