Job Title: Design & Technology Teacher Secondary School Location: Liverpool Start Date: September 2025 Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Strong potential for permanent) About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Liverpool. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025, with a strong potential to become permanent. You will deliver engaging and practical D&T lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning, while preparing students with valuable skills for the future. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across secondary year groups Teach a variety of D&T specialisms (e.g., product design, resistant materials, graphics, or textiles, depending on expertise) Promote creativity, innovation, and safe use of tools and equipment Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-resourced learning environment Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback Contribute to the wider school community through clubs, projects, or extracurricular activities Requirements Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary school level Strong classroom and behavior management skills Knowledge of health 'safety procedures in a workshop/classroom setting A creative, practical, and adaptable teaching style Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) How to Apply If you meet the above requirements and are passionate about inspiring creativity and innovation in young people, we would love to hear from you.
