Responsibilities Your primary objective will be to build and strengthen relationships with the business using your financial crime risk expertise and relationship-building skills, to support and act as a trusted advisor for the UK Bank. Additionally, you will: Oversee Transaction Monitoring within the team, including investigating matches and reviewing parameters periodically. Proactively engage with first-line key stakeholders to advise on systems for financial crime controls, both internal and external. Oversee Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), sanctions, adverse media screening, and alert elimination. Handle Fraud and Suspicious Activity Report referrals, investigating and analyzing all available information, conducting root cause analysis, summarizing findings, and recommending necessary actions. Ensure investigations are thoroughly documented and completed promptly. Undertake Customer Due Diligence reliance testing. Support the Financial Crime Risk Director & MLRO, and other financial crime areas as needed. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Fraud/AML transaction rules, including development, testing, optimization, and decommissioning of rules and strategic plans. Manage complex queries or issues arising from suspicious activity escalations from first-line teams. Assist in developing first-line team members through training, coaching, and mentoring. What you will bring • An in-depth understanding of Financial Crime, with experience in transaction monitoring, sanctions, and fraud. Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills. Good planning, analytical, and communication skills (both verbal and written). High energy, drive, and a delivery-focused mindset. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute where needed. Financial crime qualifications are desirable but not essential. Location • London (5 days per week in the office) • Travel to other locations may be required occasionally.
