Head of Estates and FacilitiesWakefield£50,000 – £60,000 DOE + BenefitsSector: Health & Social Care, Estates & Property ManagementHours: Full-Time, PermanentAre you a seasoned estates and facilities leader looking to make a real impact in the care sector?We’re working with a growing care home provider with a portfolio of high-quality services across the North of England. As part of their continued expansion and commitment to delivering outstanding environments for residents and staff alike, they are seeking a Head of Estates and Facilities to lead their property operations.The RoleAs Head of Estates and Facilities, you’ll take strategic and operational responsibility for the management, maintenance, compliance, and development of the organisation’s care home properties. This is a hands-on, visible role requiring a mix of strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of safety and compliance in a regulated setting.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all aspects of estates and facilities management across the portfolioEnsure all buildings remain compliant with relevant legislation including CQC, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Environmental standardsOversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes, refurbishments, and capex projectsManage external contractors, service providers, and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectivenessSupport acquisition and development projects as the group continues to expandProvide strategic input into property planning and futureproofing of facilitiesEnsure that all environments are safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose for residents and staffAbout YouProven experience in estates/facilities/property management, ideally within healthcare, social care, or another regulated sectorKnowledge of statutory compliance requirements relating to buildings and care environmentsStrong contractor management and negotiation skillsConfident in leading on capital projects, refurbishment, and maintenance planningAble to work across multiple sites and willing to travel across the North of EnglandProfessional qualifications in estates/facilities (e.g. IWFM, IOSH, NEBOSH) desirableWhy Join?Be part of a growing and ambitious care organisation with a strong reputationMake a tangible difference to the quality of care environments for residentsEnjoy autonomy and influence at a senior levelCompetitive salary of £50,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience) + benefitsTo ApplyIf you’re ready to take the lead on estates and facilities in a rewarding sector, we’d love to hear from you.
