Job SummaryAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mental Wellbeing and Counselling Practitioner to join our Occupational Health and Wellbeing service.The post-holder will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team of counselling professionals, who pride themselves on their commitment to improving, developing and providing excellent care for our workforce.The post holder will support the Occupational Health and Wellbeing team to provide an effective, high quality, mental wellbeing and counselling service.The post holder will use a flexible confidential counselling service to promote the psychological health and welfare of our employees / staff who access the counselling service.You will be expected to use a range of skills and methods of delivery to provide individual and group support. You will have continuing responsibility for designated clients, assessing client needs, providing the appropriate support, and appropriate counselling interventions.You will manage your own caseload and activity, making individual client assessments, and supporting with sensitivity and compassion. You will be a strong and positive individual who will enjoy developing, leading and collaborating with a dedicated professional team. You will work within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the governance of counselling / psychological practice within the service.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will undertake specialist counselling and psychological interventions, formulate psychological treatment plans and provide the service with expertise in the specialist clinical area, contributing to the delivery and outcomes of the Occupational Health ServiceThis post will have strong links with, and support from the trusts Mental Health Services and Psychology Service with opportunities for collaboration with external partner organisations across North Wales.The post holder will provide professional specialist occupational health and wellbeing advice to its users and ensure that an accurate assessment of the workplace health needs are met.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.About UsIf you relish a challenge, have a passion to help others or simply fancy a fresh start, then Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales, has all the right ingredients.
