Pulse is now seeking to recruit aBand 6 Hand Occupational Therapistin Chelmsford, Essex, for one of our key clients in the private sector. This position offersfull-time or part-time hoursfor an ongoing period.To providespecialised assessment and treatmentfor hand therapy patients with complex needs, and offerexpert advice, guidance, and informationto health and social care professionals, carers, relatives, and other non-professionals. The post holder will manage theirown caseload and a defined service area , working independently. Supervision will occur through regular one-to-one sessions with the line manager, formal training, clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences, and reflective practice.You must haveexcellent experience in post-op hand therapy and splint making . Our caseload includes procedures such as fasciectomies, dermofasciectomies, trapeziectomies, joint replacements, skin grafts, and sterile techniques for hand care, splinting, exercise rehabilitation, scar management, oedema management, and taping.Working pattern:One day per week (7.5 hours), with options for short shifts over two days (Tuesdays/Wednesdays or Fridays).
