We are currently looking for a Water Hygiene Engineer to complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing, and electro/mechanical tasks to meet clients' requirements. We welcome applicants with limited or no direct experience, provided they have relevant experience in similar fields. Are you a person who can deliver a high quality of service, with a keen eye for detail? Main Duties Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8. This is a mobile role, travelling to client sites and completing the necessary tasks to maintain compliance. To be an ambassador for Mitie whilst visiting customers' sites. Maintain our customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy. Take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples in line with company procedures. Carry out water system cleaning and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures. Test, service, and maintain thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required. Ability to work on heating, chilled water, and chlorine dioxide systems is desirable but not essential. Communicate daily with the service department to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently. Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary. Ensure responsible equipment is kept clean and properly maintained. Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers. Take personal responsibility for health and safety, following all safety procedures and site-specific requirements. Complete any reasonable tasks requested by your manager or the business. What we are looking for Experience in Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring, or Water Treatment is essential. Relevant experience in similar fields is welcomed, even with limited direct experience. Knowledge of maintaining water systems is desirable. Basic IT skills, including use of tablets, mobile devices, and Microsoft programs, are necessary. Effective communication skills are required throughout the role.
